Clinic Responsibilities: Separate clinic and assist staff
Operative Experience: Broad and extensive exposure to pediatric
otolaryngology cases from the routine procedures (T&A, BMT, DLB)
to the more complex. Tertiary care cases include otologic procedures,
including cochlear implants, airway surgery, laryngotracheal
reconstruction and laser surgery of the airway, neck masses, and sinus
surgery.

Additional Information: Out program is affiliated with Texas Children's Hospital (TCH), the largest children's hospital in the United States. Texas Children's is nationally raked in the top five among children's hospitals by both Child magazine and U.S. News & World Report. Texas Children's Hospital is a large, busy, tertiary care children's hospital and the opportunities are enormous. There are 458 operational inpatient beds. TCH logged 246,824 outpatient visits, more than 83.000 ER visits and 21,128 admissions in 2007. Additionally, the hospital currently has 140 NICU (63, level II and 76, Level III) beds, which run at near total capacity year round. There is planned expansion of TCH in the near future with the building of the TCH Maternal Center. We participate in the pediatric otolaryngology match program.
